Dr. Janet Davis, M.D.

Dr. Davis began practicing Maternal-Fetal Medicine in 1996 as Dr. Janet D. Larson. She is board-certified in both Obstetrics & Gynecology and Maternal-Fetal Medicine by the American Board of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Dr. Davis received her medical degree in 1986 from the Medical College of Georgia, and has since completed her Obstetrics & Gynecology residency at William Beaumont Army Medical Center in El Paso, Texas. She served in the United States Army for four years, and then did a fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. Dr. Davis has had several articles published, on topics including nausea and vomiting, heartburn in pregnancy, nuchal cords, and the use of medications to soften the cervix prior to induction of labor. She is a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and the Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine, and she is a member of the American Medical Association, the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine, the Georgia OB/GYN Society, and the Augusta OB/GYN Society, of which she is a past president. When Dr. Davis is not in the office, she enjoys horseback riding, karate, and being the mother of five children.
